Data Analysis & Bioinformatics

Pricing based on analytical scope

Data analysis is included in many Core project quotes and is also available as a stand-alone service for datasets generated by other laboratories or core facilities. Pricing is based on analytical time, study design, and the scope of work.

Analysis rates & options

Hourly analysis, matched to project needs

Our project quotes typically include 5–15 hours of data analysis at approximately $150 per hour. The actual hours and scope are identified in each quote. Additional analysis requested after the original results are delivered is billed separately.

Stand-alone analysis service

Data from outside facilities

Statistical analysis, visualization, and biological interpretation of suitable datasets generated by other cores or laboratories, subject to data quality and format review.

Approximately $150/hourA project-specific estimate is provided after reviewing the dataset and objectives.
After initial results

Additional analysis & follow-up

New comparisons, expanded annotation, pathway-oriented interpretation, custom figures, reanalysis, or other work requested after the agreed results have been delivered.

Billed separatelyAdditional effort is estimated and approved before work begins; approximately $150/hour.
Pricing guidance: Hourly rates and the 5–15 hour range are approximate, not fixed package prices. Final hours, rates, scope, and deliverables are established in the individual project quote. Outside datasets may need extra preprocessing or formatting before statistical analysis.

Estimating the project

What determines the price?

We evaluate the analytical requirements, data readiness, and expected deliverables before estimating the number of hours. For outside datasets, we also review available metadata, normalization, and quality-control information.

Study and data complexity

  • Number of samples, features, and datasets
  • Experimental groups, covariates, and repeated measures
  • Number and complexity of statistical comparisons
  • Preprocessing, metadata, and quality-control requirements

Reporting and interpretation

  • Figures, statistical tables, and custom visualizations
  • Compound annotation and chemical classification
  • Pathway and biological context where appropriate
  • Selection and refinement of statistical approaches appropriate to the data and study design.
